As Jesus made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem the crowds began to shout, “Hosanna! Hosanna!”
Many people assume that Hosanna must be a word of praise or honor. It is actually a plea to the Messiah meaning “Save Now!” or “Please Save!” The people were pleading with Jesus to do the work of saving.
As Christians today we still cry, “Hosanna!” as we plead with Jesus to continue the work of saving souls.
The Hosanna! Prayer Project is a growing community of Christians across denominational lines that pray expectantly and consistently for the Lord to save souls out of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormons).
The purpose of the Hosanna! Prayer Project is to use the most powerful spiritual tool at our disposal – prayer — to help free our loved ones from the deception that is in Mormonism and introduce them to the true Jesus Christ of the Bible.
What the Hosanna! Prayer Project is doing now:
• Uniting Christians from all over the world in unified prayer for the salvation of the LDS people • Providing a forum for individual prayer requests to be shared with the body of Christ
What are the goals of the Hosanna! Prayer Project?:
• To assist Christians who feel led to pray for the LDS friends and families find support, encouragement, and fellow believers to unite with in prayer. • To help form small prayer groups throughout the world that meet together often to pray for the LDS people at large as well as their individual prayer requests. • To provide information and resources to help Christians more effectively talk with and witness to the LDS culture.
